DEALING WITH DIFFERENCES IN
THE FAMILY OF FAITH
June 2 - 5, 2008 in Edmonton
| Conciliation Services Canada's first Western Canada Summer
Training Institute for Church Leaders will be held at The King’s
University College in Edmonton, on the topic of “Dealing With
Differences In The Family of Faith”. The Rev. Speed B. Leas, known
internationally for his work as a Senior Consultant of The Alban Institute, and
one of North America’s foremost specialists on this subject, will lead this
training event. |
| Every faithful, healthy church has been blessed with differences: divergent views, varied backgrounds, differing faith experiences and expectations. Our differences can enrich our lives and ministries; they can also lead to destructive conflict. To stay faithful and healthy, we need the skills, strategies, understanding, and faith resources to address our differences in constructive and growth enhancing ways. "Dealing With Differences in the Family of Faith" is designed to provide church leaders with the resources they need in order to make use of differences and help to transform conflict in the congregation into a source of strength and renewal. |
